A week ago, $3.99, the next day $4.15. Four days later

That's .26 cents in less than a week.

2. I filled up early Thursday morning.

Gas was $3.299.

Drove by the same station later that day, and it was $3.999. And did I feel lucky.

Yesterday, the price was still at $3.999, and I noticed that some other stations a few miles away were about 15 to 20 cents lower, and their prices had not changed either. I've yet to see any price over $4 here, except for diesel, which is through the roof.

I guess I'll just have to start driving around to see which station gives me the best deal, which wastes gas in and of itself. I'm gonna get reamed, so I might as well grit my teeth and take it.

3. Yesterday I paid $4.09 for regular.

My last tank of gas, 2 weeks ago, was, at that time, the most I'd ever paid: $3.76.

While chatting with the man filling the tank (there is no self-serve gas in my state,) he predicted that it would be $5 by July, $7 by next winter.
