they knew he wasn't in the loop because they kept him out purposely and just fed him what they wanted him to know and wanted him to say.

Oddly enough - it's easy for one being kept out of the loop to discern that. I'm in a similar situation now on the job and it becomes very evident when you are being made to be a mushroom. (kept in the dark for those of you that didn't get the mushroom reference). In fact it sharpens ones senses and you pick up nuances about people and things going on that you may have missed if you were in the loop.

I think that the WH is causing more trouble for themselves by spewing the talking points that they have their operatives out spewing.

7. Early this morning when I first heard of this

it seems all the buzz and excitement was over why he would betray his friend, what pushed him to do this, and on and on. Who should give a fuck why he's saying this or how his former coworkers feel about it. How about let's give some consideration to the fact that the fucking president and his cronies are being accused of crimes by a very credible witness. Accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity as well as treason. The press should be falling all over themselves trying to get to the true story out and instead we're getting Entertainment Tonight.

It seemed as if the only thing interesting was whether or not McClellan and Bush can remain buddies. It was really maddening because I'm convinced the press just wants Bush to be gone and forgotten because they want their complicity and their spineless acquiescence to be gone and forgotten as well. They just want to be able to start over again without being called to account for their part in the tragedy of the last 8 years.

Of all the politicians and all of the reporters there are only a small minority that have integrity. In a just world there'd be a wholesale purge of the press and government with the complicit sent to prison and the self-serving cowards exiled from the country.
