Lindsey Graham on MTP: "I think Saddam believed he had the weapons, but apparently he didn't."
:wtf:

That's like saying, "I believe I have some potatoes in the cabinet" when in fact I know I cleaned out that cabinet months ago and rid it of all its contents.

What a misguided, confused individual!

2. So every time Saddam insisted he had no WMD he was what,
LYING, like george w. bush? DELUSIONAL, like george w. bush?

How many times did Hussein say Iraq had no WMD?

Many.

How many WMD did the illegal invaders find?

None.

What did both of the bush Cartel's hand-picked WMD hunters say?

Iraq had not had any WMD since 1991.

SOMEONE was a lying delusional MFer. Hint: It wasn't Saddam.

Another clueless obfuscater, I hope his state understands that the party line is more important than the lives of their bravest sons and daughters. Time to think about replacing Grahm.
Edit; spelling insert GRIMM

Repeat the talking point and protect the party.

Graham has been nothing but a tool ever since he helped lead
the Clinton Blow Job Hunt and has been a good little doggie
ever since ...... "Oh. look there is that poor Mrs. Alito running from
the hearing in tears. What bad people the democrats are to question
a man about his past behavior."

Yeah, "the whole world" except for the UN inspectors, France, Germany, Russia, the entire UN security council, most of our own intelligence people....

19. Graham is lying. He knows better.
Dan Rather interviewed Saddam Hussein on the eve (or nearly the eve) of our invasion of Iraq. Here is what Saddam said about the alleged weapons.

Translator For Saddam Hussein: Thank you. The President says, the United States - the world - knows that there is nothing in Iraq of… whatever the noise has been made about. And I believe that that noise and the fleets that have been brought around and the mobilization that's been done were, in fact, done partly to cover the huge lie that was being waged against Iraq about chemical, biological and nuclear weapons.

. . .
And, indeed, in order to make the case absolutely clear that Iraq was no longer in possession of any such…weapons. Iraq accepted to agree to deal with that resolution. That is why, when you talk about such missiles, these missiles have been destroyed. There are no missiles that are contrary to the prescription of the United Nations in Iraq.

. . .

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/02/26/60II/main542151.shtml

Hussein denied that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. The inspectors did not find the WMDs. The only people who believed that Hussein had WMDs were people who wanted to believe that -- in spite of the evidence -- and those of us who obtained our information from the people who wanted to believe that Hussein had WMDs. Congress has no excuse for having believed that Saddam had WMDs. Members of Congress should have asked the questions that we could not ask. They should have demanded proof before sending in fighter planes to kill innocent Iraqis. Because they lacked courage, our nation committed terrible moral wrong -- a crime against humanity.

We humans have trouble admitting small wrongs -- like running a red light -- or forgetting to turn off lights -- much less huge wrongs, murderous wrongs like authorizing war without having checked the facts. It takes great strength to admit having done wrong. Graham is a weakling as are most of the other members of the Bush administration and the Congress who supported the war without finding out the facts.
