You just can't get certain things out of DU if you don't have a star; like the archives, etc.

Ye Olde Spiral Hawk lives on peanut butter, oatmeal, and garden pickings, for he is as poor as a church mouse, and has never, ever -- over 5 years -- been in a position to donate to DU (which richly deserves support). But I am able to respond, to start new threads, or whatever...no problema.

A few times other people have made donations and thus -- for a time -- I have sported the DU Star. But that comes and goes. Star or no star, I can post and respond...

You don't have a star for your donation, that's a problem. Instead of writing to us users, write to the people who can take care of the problem.

You have to donate to participate in some forums, but if you gave a donation in any amount that is good for one year.

Your post makes it sound like you are happy to go, but if you are having problems I'd suggest contacting the administrators and asking for help.
