The interesting story to be written on the past 7 years is the arrogance and stupidity of so many in this regime and the repugnican party. Their greed and trapping of power was so immense they all but asked for their bubble to burst and most of their current problems are of their own largess. What we've learned so far has come from the selfish stupidity of the soldier ants in this criminal enterprise, but soon we'll get a far broader picture. Damn right, Karl has reasons to have sleepless nights.
Remember, Rove is the ultimate con man...he never shows his true face. He's the "strength" dude...never let 'em see ya sweat. The deeper the mess gets around Rove, the more arrogant he gets. Right now he can get away with it as long as the manchild continues to be his protector. He's betting his spin machine can and will bail him out...or at least distort things so that any attacks on him are turned on the attackers. It's been a game he's played like a violin with the corporate media...but methinks Dan Abrams has hit a nerve and Rove is real concerned about him getting involved in the Siegleman case. This isn't how these things are supposed to work. Let's see how Karl deals with some real media scrutiny.
Lastly...don't forget about a certain Patrick Fitzgerald. He may now have some new goodies on Karl via the Rezko case...that then opens the door up to the entire DOJ firing scandal. Rove has many enemies out there...and deservedly so. He's rubbed things in many faces...and for many, many years, it worked in his favor...now let's see who calls his bluff...
