Bush intervenes in army scandal

President Bush has intervened in a scandal over the way wounded American soldiers were treated after they returned home from Iraq or Afghanistan.

In a radio address on Saturday, Mr Bush will say he is deeply troubled by the treatment of some military veterans in a Washington medical centre.

He is forming a cross-party commission to oversee how they have been handled.

1. I am deeply troubled that the President is always the last to know
No matter what it is, from Katrina to Walter Reed, he is always the last to know, and this article is for shit to even began to imply he did something right and honorable....

2. Once again the chimp is late.
You can't tell me he knew nothing about this. It wasn't until the public was informed that he tried to make it look like he was oh, so surprised. Now he's going to form a commission??? I do believe there are already two in the works. This is his pattern. He waits until things are in the news and then he acts like he is going to take care of the problem. As the original poster said, "Yeah, right!"

4. What an asshat. All he knows how to do is form study groups and
commissions, which he then proceeds to ignore.
I seem to recall Tony Snow saying dimson had no comment on this story. He only deigns to comment when the story blows up in the government's face?
How do I hate him, let me count the ways...
