Norm's Myanmar problem

When two McCain aides had to leave the campaign last week after it was revealed that their lobbying firm, the DCI Group, had done work on behalf of the military junta that runs Myanmar, Andy Birkey of Minnesota Monitor (8) wondered if there was a local angle. Lo and behold, at least two Minnesota lawmakers -- Sen. Norm Coleman and Rep. Michele Bachmann -- have received donations from DCI. The Minnesota DFL called for Coleman to give back the money he received, a request his campaign declined. This puzzled Zach at MnPublius (9).

"Coleman quickly dumped contributions from Sen. Larry Craig after his mishap at MSP. Isn't lobbying on behalf of one of the worst human rights abusers in the world worse than soliciting gay sex in a public bathroom?"

Michele Bachmann will be a drag on Norm Coleman's reelection.
