Democratic Housel leaders are calling out President Bush for a speech in Israel in which he seemed to suggest that Sen. Barack Obama wants the United States to "negotiate with terrorists."
<snip>
Referring to Sen. John McCain, Pelosi said: "I would hope that any serious person that aspires to lead the country, would disassociate themselves from those comments.”
As Pelosi was speaking, House Democratic Caucus Chairman Rahm Emanuel issued a statement in which he said: "The tradition has always been that when a U.S. president is overseas, partisan politics stops at the water's edge. President Bush has now taken that principle and turned it on its head: for this White House, partisan politics now begins at the water’s edge, no matter the seriousness and gravity of the occasion. Does the president have no shame?”
Nope - not an ounce of shame anywhere in his body - look at the golf nonsense. anyone with a working sense of shame would have torn their own head off rather than say something that inane.
and, the freepers will get upset at Pelosi and say that getting a blowjob in office was beneath the dignity of the president as well - because, of course, no other president ever had an affair while in office.
19. Look, the House had enough evidence to start impeachment HEARINGS
...in 74 that was enough for Nixon to resign cuz he didn't want all that stuff coming out in Congress. The HEARINGS were well within House power and I thought Conyers would be the first one to jump on it. You wouldn't have needed Repig senators at that point.
Gawd knows what deal Pelosi made with the devil--but I for one will never forgive her for it. I can't vote for her, I'm in the southern part of SF, and we have a GREAT new rep in Jackie Speier. But you better believe Pelosi's SF constituents are bitterly disappointed and will show it in the voting booths!
To speak in terms of Bush as simply a bad president who made a partisan remark denies the reality of what Bush is...and what Bush is is a war criminal, whose criminal actions have endangered the country.
Using language that in any way denies that fact is beneath contempt....
Asking if Bush has no shame is laughable. The man implemented a torture policy and brags about it....the use of language that denies this does a disservice to the truth by framing the situation as Bush being partisan and taking cheap shots when the problem is ever so much bigger...ever so much worse...ever so much dangerous.
Course, it all began the day Bush was treated as a legitimate president...someone who could be judged by the expectations of what a president should be....and that delusion continues still
