Senate polling shows at least ten Republican Senate seats could be in play for Democrats
Edited on Thu May-15-08 10:21 AM by LSK
Senate polling shows at least ten Republican Senate seats could be in play for Democrats during Election 2008. These include Senate seats in North Carolina, Oregon, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Colorado, Alaska, Minnesota, Kentucky, Virginia, and Texas. Underlying this dismal outlook for the GOP is the fact that more and more people are considering themselves to be Democrats. In fact, the Democrats now have the largest partisan advantage over the Republicans since Rasmussen Reports began tracking this data on a monthly basis nearly six years ago.

2. Best case scenario:
We win all of those races, and then kick Lieberman to the curb and we still have a 60-40 fillibuster proof Senate.

3. It depends on what kind of Dems are elected. A conservative Dem may peel and vote with the Repubs.
Party discipline is something that isn't strong in the US.

5. that just made my day! No, it just made my year!!
but am not going to count chickens until the eggs are hatched. We've got alot of work to do in those states. Our own Senator Smith in Oregon will hopefully go out but it's not looking like it according to their figures. One can hope.
