I signed up to do so, thinking it was a good idea at the time.
The last poll I took had to do about MY health. It was long, repetitious, and at the time I wondered why they wanted to know all this info.
Tonight, they called to ask me if I had received their current poll on MY health. I checked, and it had just arrived in my inbox. I thought it was curious they were so interested in my input, and in such a rush.
I asked who was funding this survey; the woman who called said she worked for Burnett Research and was hired by Polling Point. I asked her who hired Polling Point and she put me on hold; a supervisor (?) came on and told me he didn't have an answer; PP is an unbiased firm that does research and they're not privy to that info.
So I told him he was no longer privy to my info until I did some research.

OK, so am I being paranoid?

1. Odd experience today

I had taken a PollingPoint survey some months ago. Can't remember what it was about. Since then, I had received a few additional surveys that I never responded to and was never sent a reminder to take them.

However, earlier this week, I received another survey (which I had ignored too). But today, PollingPoint sent me a reminder. Ok, so I decided to do the survey. It was weird, asking about several kinds of nutritional drinks, similar to Boost. I responded I didn't drink it, nor any of those kind of products.

Yet the survey kept asking me questions whether I would try some new nutritional products. Well, if I hadn't drunk any before, why would I start now? Needless to say, I stopped the survey. It seemed silly to keep responding to meaningless questions over and over again.

2. I did that one last night

I, too, thought it was weird and very hard to answer the questions without actually trying the products. I gave them that feedback, too. The previous ones I've done were more opinion-related, which I haven't minded. But I don't know how you can rate a product just by a description and then compare products to each other. It was a very time-consuming one, too.

4. I got about half-way thru

I stopped when the survey asked me to number which product I would choose 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Heck, not having drunk any of these types of products, I couldn't judge fairly how to answer, so I stopped.

I usually don't mind taking surveys, especially the political surveys. I feel more knowledgeable about them nowadays!

my own health were so valuable?! I don't get the intense interest, but told them to take my name off of their logs.
