2. Has anybody else noticed a trend lately...
of cartoonists feminizing republicans? Recall the various cartoons depicting the republican elephant as a woman, "settling" for McCain? This cartoon is yet another example.

It's pretty interesting, considering that the GOP gets so much mileage out the "dems are effeminate" meme. I get a kick out of seeing cartoonists torpedoing that narrative, and turning it back on the GOP. I wonder if there's a good thesis in there somewhere.

3. And it saddens me that to feminize something is to destroy its power

5. Good point. In a better world, it wouldn't be a weapon to use on anybody.

4. Interesting. Notice that Cindy is pretty masculine too--that would be the most offensive thing
she's find in the cartoon.

I've known her briefly and she is the ultimated high mainentenance woman--but she is known to be as tough as a brick shithouse.

7. That's what
they said about T. H. Kerry.

"she is known to be as tough as a brick shithouse."

8. I've met Mrs. McCain--she is. And she isn't the least bit nice to those she considers
"inferior."

9. I hope hubby takes her to all those campaign stops where he has to rub shoulders with the
''plain folks'' then.

10. I'm sure she'll find some reason to stay away from the plebes.
We are taking a MAJOR ice maiden here.

11. Budweiser?

Not exactly the beer of choice of the effete elite. You'd think she'd have a little appreciation of the common folk that have gotten her to where she is today.
