A question for folks who live in the Saint Louis Area
We must travel north in a few weeks and one potential route is I-55 North to I-70 West. We went this way a few years ago and there were a lot of delays due to road construction. How is that path now? We are interested in getting where we are going fast and then taking our time and meandering home through Arkansas. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

3. You should be okay but check
but check Modot's website and or some of the local media's traffic cams (KMOV, KSDK, etc) . A lot of work is on hold while I-64 is being replaced in the St. Louis area. Alternate route would be 55N to 270W to 70W.

Good Luck.

5. We generally avoid the city by going south off of I70
just west of St Louis and then hooking up with I55. Traffic in St Louis is a freakin nightmare, almost as bad as Dallas.

6. Really depends upon the time of day like anywhere else
I don't have much trouble when I avoid rush hours.

7. I have found in Dallas it doesn't seem to matter
I ran into some of the worst traffic I have ever seen at 10 am on a Sunday in Dallas.

I am spoiled though because we just don't have bad traffic where I live. We are blessed with plenty of highways.
