Bolton on whether Bush might bomb Iran before he leaves office: ‘I think so, definitely.’

In a Fox News interview this afternoon, former UN Ambassador John Bolton discussed his desire to bomb camps inside Iran that are reportedly training and arming Shiite insurgents who fight in Iraq. Fox host Martha McCallum asked, “Can you imagine a scenario where President Bush would do that before the end of his term?” Bolton responded, “I think so, definitely.” He added later, “This is entirely responsible on our part.”

Asked by McCallum whether Israel would be supportive of the strikes given the possibility of Iranian retaliation, Bolton responded, “I think they’d be delighted.”

3. Then let's all jump through our collective assholes, metaphorically speaking, to please Israel,
even to do their bidding if even more pleasing. :D

7. Bolton will be just heartbroken if something isn't bombed before Chimp leaves
His first choice was the UN building, but at this point any bombing will do.

9. During the Nevada debate
questions about an impending Iran attack were placed by several, including an Army soldier and his mother. Senator Biden stated that he would move to impeach Bush if this occurred without Constitutional authority. Would he do so, now? Would he restate his position, now?. And would Obama and Clinton like to restate whether they think that the Kyle-Lieberman resolution granted Bush authority to attack without a declaration of war? If they're really serious about protecting this country, they have to head this off before it happens. Nobody can predict the outcome if a bombing-retaliation cycle gets started here. It could even be the cue to enforce martial law in this country. They must realize that, and yet they do and say nothing. Complicity.

All it would take is a simple press question to Obama now, "Does the President have the authority to wage war against Iran? Does he have the authority to order any bombing strikes without a Congressional Declaration of War?"

The national press is going to be complicit, too, if this simple question is not asked.
None of them have the slightest idea of what they would be plunging this country into. Of the military services, only the Air Force is behind this. Do they really want to open this Pandora's box?

11. He's out of his mind but probably not out of the loop.
To get in the loop with this gang, you have to be out of your mind.

Here in Tennessee, the few moderate Repubs we have left are running (not walking) away from anything that smells like Bush.

16. Let's drop Republicans on them.
Bolton's comments need to be posted far and wide, because I'm sure otherwise they'll sink like a stone.
