Boxer to federal scientists - "Change is coming"
Edited on Wed May-07-08 11:26 AM by JoeIsOneOfUs
In a hearing I'm listening to on outside influences on federal science (posted link over in environment forum).

She wrapped up her questions by saying to EPA and other federal scientists that change is coming and soon they'll really be able to do their jobs.

Amen.

:)

1. I love Boxer...
and, even though it's not likely... Obama / Boxer gets my vote.

2. She can be a little pushy to witnesses sometimes
(when I've watched her committee, env. & public works, or for. relations). and not quite listen to nuances of what they say, but goodness knows, she's making up for a lack of pushing by others!

3. So much damage. It isn't just being told "go back to work now"
There is much rehabilitation to be done in the EPA and other regulatory agencies that have scientific units that means cullings of GOP apparatchiks and rehirings. And even after that there is not much to be done about all the experience that was lost.

10. Once the scientist are free to speak, the truth will come out and the
anti science appointees will be exposed.

5. Yeah...change is coming all right; as the Dems prepare to pass more oil war money.
Sorry, but I'm sick of lip service and bullshit from the D's as well as the R's
