The problem is that our culture is encouraged to move at such a fast pace -- people feel like they're out of the loop if they're not constantly connected the internet, or if they don't immediately hear the results of an election/poll/whatever.

Since news doesn't actually HAPPEN that fast, the cable tv channels (and newspapers, and magazines, and....) use filler to use up time, in the form of "opinion polls" or "pundits."

That problem is all in the peoples' minds. There is no true need for the constant influx of opinion. People can opt out and refuse those media. The results will be in the morning paper, with or without the pundit's two cents.

Mine was going to be about how these stupid a-holes keep posing "interior dialogues" to one another about what Candidate X and Candidate Y "has to say to the Super Delegates" under Scenario I, Scenario II, or Scenario III.

"Howard FINEMAN, what does X have to say under I, II, III?"

"Well, So and so has to say, I've got this many popular votes, that many discoteque votes, hardy-who yakety yak!1 So, Chuck TODD, what do YOU say if you're Y?!1"
