Man asks court to change his name to 'In God We Trust'
Steve Kreuscher wants a judge to allow him to legally change his name. He wants to be known as "In God We Trust."

Kreuscher says the new name would symbolize the help God gave him through tough times.

The 57-year-old man also told the (Arlington Heights) Daily Herald he's worried that atheists may succeed in removing the phrase "In God We Trust" from U.S. currency.

That's great Steve, but around here you'll always be known as plain old "Nutcase".

5. I see. If we don't announce our trust in God on our money God will be
offended? I kinda thought the opposite might be true...

6. breaking news......
Steve Kreuscher, who has gained attention for wanting to change his name to "In God We Trust", has had his petition approved by a district judge today. Unfortunately, his application was difficult to read, so from here on out Steve shall be known as "In Gorp We Trust." Gorp was unavailable for comment later, but his wife, Mary Magdalame, said she was proud of her husband irregardless, "Sometimes, if he eats too fast, he makes this high pitched wheezing sound that sounds just like Gorp. Praise Jesus!"

8. In God We Trust -
No doubt, that's how the moneychangers in the temple advertised for themselves, too.

I wonder if this guy even knows how that turned out.

11. It's a gimmick.
He thinks if he changes his name to "In God We Trust" that he can take everyone's money (since it will have his name on it). But I'm gonna beat him to the punch. I'm changing my name to the eye on the dollar bill:
