What the hell is wrong with CNN?
Frances Townsend Joins CNN: Latest White House Official To Spin With The Media:

Witness this gem of intelligence insight, where Townsend explains
that she doesn't know whether al-Qaida was in Iraq prior to the Iraq
war, because she wasn't at the briefing (it seems like a lot of
officials missed that meeting). Or how about this nugget of nuanced
punditry, where Townsend claims Al-Qaida may try to disrupt the 2008
elections, even while admitting there is "no specific intelligence"
that supports the idea.
*********************************************************************
And, she is one of the most boring people I have ever seen shill for the bushies! :wtf:

1. Al Qaida is the most powerful military and the most dangerous threat to our freedom
Edited on Sun May-04-08 10:28 PM by Elwood P Dowd
since Nazi Germany. Just ask any repuke. If we leave Iraq, hundreds of millions of al Qaida will invade the USA and kill us all. Only little Georgie, Big Dickey, and John McSamey can save us from certain death.

:sarcasm:

2. They are trying to win over Fox's audience...
Sure wish they'd bring Ted Turner back, it was a good station when he owned it...

3. Sounds like a set-up for martial law and the suspension of the election.
I've never been able to shake the fear that Bush and Cheney have no intention of going "gentle into that good night." Sometimes, I fantasize about falling asleep from the first week of November 2008 until the third week of January 2009, then waking up to the news that we made it through and we have a Democratic president and a Democratic majority in both Houses. The tension is wearing me out and we haven't even gotten through the primaries yet. I told my doc how much this affects my nerves but I don't think he takes me seriously. His P.A. gets it, though, and he's on our side.
