Something I wonder about, with the democrats in congress and all.
After reading alot of posts here, I have somewhat got the impression that the overall consensus on this board is that the democrats in congress are spinless and/or brainless for not impeaching, not stopping the war, have sold out to the republican party and so on.

Now, it also seems to be the consensus, that people who supported Nader in 2000 are responsible for Bush, that third party candidates are largely backstabbers that do nothing but hurt the party and so on.

Now admittedly, Al Gore would probably not have been "as bad" as Bush (that is hardly possible), but the democrats have not exactly gone to large lenghts to stand in the way of the republicans in the last eight years, even when they hold the majority.

So I do agree that the rhetoric of Bush and Gore being "the same" is an exaggeration, but doesn't the behavior of the democrats in congress now at least suggest that people had legitimate reasons to seek alternatives?

The way I see it, you can either admit that Nader and others had valid points about the democrats, or you be silent about how the democrats are behaving now. Not both.

4. The PNAC plan includes both parties.
But if one globalist is more compassionate than the other...I don't know. It certainly seems like a big dog and pony show to me.

9. All but a few representatives (of both parties) should leave
since they don't listen to us and even act like they have new solutions to old problems. They created the problems and get to say what the solutions are...so Orwellian.

What mandates of the 2006 election has been inacted?

2. The party out of power comes up with ideas and programs that gets them elected.
Once in power, they forgot why they were elected and don't do what they promised. This is the pattern for both parties. After a few terms, the majority party gets voted out and the pattern repeats itself.

8. As soon as the 2006 election was over Pelosi had a
memory loss as to the mandates. She was in power. Didn't seem like it oh...about a week later. The Progressives won that election yet she claimed it for the DLC agenda.

11. Nader is correct about the two-party duopoly on power
Nader is correct to complain about the two-party duopoly on political power. This is the fundamental problem.

We the people need to take back the government, and the way to do that is by taking back the House, and the way to do that (I believe) is by drastically reducing the size of our Congressional districts. That way, we can select who represents us. This is the point of Thirty-Thousand.org (http://www.thirty-thousand.org).
