Is Good Sex a Constitutional Right?
MANTA, Ecuador -- Assembly member María Soledad Vela has proposed a constitutional amendment that would protect women's right to sexual pleasure, reports the Ecuadorian newspaper El Mercurio. She explained that we live in a macho society in which women have been seen as breeders and only men can experience pleasure, and hoped the proposal would lead to better sexual education in the country and change people's ways of thinking about sex. The proposal, which could allow a woman to sue her husband for leaving her sexually unsatisfied, has generated controversy in the country. Opposition Assembly member Francisco Cisneros called the amendment ridiculous and called on President Rafael Correa to bring order to his Assembly members.

1. I think we sort of have that law here already.
It's called "Irreconcilable Differences."

2. Hey, I'd be happy enough if they made SEX a constitutional right.
"Good" sex would be the icing on the cake!

3. Remember these are also mainly Catholics who also believe
that women are incapable of sexual gratification if they are good christians, if women do get enjoyment from sex they are seen as sinful tramps. Not to long ago Catholics in the US thought the same way, remember McKinney and his studies of human sexuality? And the Catholic reaction to those studies?

7. Nothing more unpleasant
than engaging with a woman who DOES NOT experience pleasure.

From this male's point of view...

8. Ugh, NO.
It sounds like they are trying to legalize marital rape - of the man by the woman in this case, but that's a two way street.

It should NEVER be a RIGHT to force someone else to engage in sexual acts with you. Either the person consents, or they don't.
