2. Bush has made shark-jumping into an Olympic event.
He made his first big jump when he got his sorry ass "elected" by Poppy's Supreme Court in 2000.

6. Like the people before me said, it's long past Jump the Shark
stage.

The difference in this one is that it blatantly shows what a bunch of power-mad evil greedy f**ks make up the bush** admin. This time it was to the point that even their most kool-aid saturated zombified freakshow followers can't think up a whopper big enough to cover the situation or to even delude themselves with.

(I apologize in advance for ending that last sentence that way. I'm just too damn tired to try to figure my way out it.)

10. Sadly my friend I must disagree. Right now "they" ....
.... finding a way to blame this on the media and liberals.

It does not matter that Don Rumsfeld wife went to bldg 18 3 years ago
and no doubt told her husband "they" still will not blame the people in
charge.

talking about everything from the invasion to this building 18, things I haven't heard before. his base is turning and they, like aspens are connected at the roots and turn together. Nope I see this as it, the moment

9. Problem solved: Keep the media out. Punish the patients.
"...reports are circulating that soldiers at Walter Reed have been instructed not to speak with the media."

"...they have been told they will wake up at 6 a.m. every morning and have their rooms ready for inspection at 7 a.m., and that they must not speak to the media." Noting that it is "unusual for soldiers to have daily inspections after Basic Training," the paper writes that one soldier told them that "some soldiers believe this is a form of punishment for the trouble soldiers caused by talking to the media.”

11. I think it put the "crumbling military" problem out there in terms that the average schmuck can
understand. People drift away when you are talking about equipment other than body armor and up-armored vehicles, but they understand holes in the wall, mold, rats, leaky fixtures, that kind of thing.

And the pictures, well, they are worth a thousand words....

17. The more Rush et al remain silent
after shouting 'support the troops', the more this will turn off the base.
Katrina was the signal moment but this is the upper case C for the Clusterfuck that is Bushco. The "Support the troops" slogan has been exposed as meaningless spin with this Clusterfuck.

I can just picture sean inSanity squirm each time an angered caller voices an opinion over this. He continues to try to downplay it - certainly marching orders from snow-job.

20. 'jump the shark' definition here:

I had to go see what jump the shark was:

wikipedia
Jumping the shark is a metaphor that was originally used to denote the tipping point at which a TV series is deemed to have passed its peak, or has introduced plot twists that are illogical in terms of everything that has preceded them. Once a show has "jumped the shark," fans sense a noticeable decline in quality or feel the show has undergone too many changes to retain its original charm. The term has also evolved to describe other areas of pop culture, including movie series, music, acting celebrities, or authors for whom a drastic change was seen as the beginning of the end. These changes are often attempts to attract their fans' waning attention with over-the-top statements or increasingly overt appeals to sex or violence. Some have broadened its use to simply describe any decline in appeal for the subject in question, without requiring a significant "jump the shark" moment.

23. this story does`t matter all that much to the majority of americans.
as soon as the main stream media tires of the story it will be forgotten. that`s not to say that the american people are callous it`s that people have more important problems to deal with everyday. it`s up to the people we elect to take care of these matters and if they do`t it`s up to people such as us to make sure they do.

25. No. They jumped the shark a long time ago.
The elections last November were only confirmation of that.

I expect the next round of polls will follow the lead of The New York Times and put Bush under 30%. He isn't through sinking yet.
