A couple days ago Amy Goodman interviewed Clark. As most know, Amy is very smart, very professional, very committed to peace and justice, and takes no BS. Well worth reading not only for "political junkies" but for help in understanding the kinds of choices and options that face us. Give it a read, and think about what other candidates might have done with those questions.

Somehow I missed that thread. What a phenomenal job Carol did in reporting that interview.

I believe that this country is thirsty for real honesty, even if it's not always popular or easy, and broadmindedness and intelligence, and not more Republican pabulum, and that in 2008 we will wake up from this 8-year nightmare united (except for Fox viewers) in our vision of our real America.

Whether Wes is a candidate or not, I know from the hard work for Democratic candidates that he did in 2004 and 2006 that he will devote himself to making sure that will happen.

2. I heard (on Democracy Now!) that the interview was to happen and did a Google search and found

myself back on DU with CarolNYC's excellent report. Clark's straightforward candor and progressive point of view seem to come across in every video clip or interview I've seen, but a lot of candidates can look good when pitched softballs. No softballs here, and both came across better, and the public interest was well served.
