photographic proof that our democrats are less two-faced
I have been practicing with a free photo altering program called "the gimp"

I thought that I would show you all some results.

first we have GB.

one side looks like he would like us to see him, Strong and virile.
The other looks like how we really see him, a small, weaselly, insecure man.

Cheney looks monstrous from any side.

I will let you make your own judgment of Rummy and Rice.

Rove is perhaps the most disturbing. One side looks like a guy who might work at the local hardware store, the other looks like the Grinch.

Our democrats look pretty good.

Finally let us take a look at McCain. I think this image says it all.

I am no psychologist but I may be on to something here.

4. What tool did you use for that?
I've got the GIMP but I'm pretty clueless as to how to use it.

6. didn't use a tool
rotated the face until it was straight. Cropped half of the picture, duplicated it, flipped it, and then pasted it back to the original.

did that for both halves and then pasted them together in pairs.

9. GIMP is great - basically free Photoshop
Amazing how many people are still clueless about open-source software. The "G" in Gimp is Gnu, the free software license that basically says "I'm free of cost and viruses, take me". GIMP does everything that Photoshop does that I would ever need, and Open Office is basically free Microsoft Word. Spread the word

17. I am a big fan of free.
other than a full copy of XP I have never bought a single piece of software, there are free alternatives to everything.

11. B*sh looks like an unintelligent hick in both photos
I don't bet "strong and virile" in the first one. just a puffed up, pampered fat cat.

Obama would look a little more like himself if you moved the two halves closer together on the first photo. He really does have a remarkably symmetrical face

12. I know they aren't perfect
It is so hard to find the exact center line of a face. since most were not facing the camera directly we get a fat-thin look to them. They looked the best when I lined up the tip of the nose with the middle of the teeth.

14. Attractiveness and symmetry always go hand and hand, say what you will
but for all the bad things we got this year we sure did get two rather fetching candidates.

18. Cool stuff -- I've been looking at facial symmetry for years.
I'd really like to know which joined halves are the right side and which are the left side.
