I guess I should write: 1-2, 1,2. testing, testing.
The same way they do it for sound check...

Exposing personal views about the American society and its (possible)future should be granted the same indulgent try out when it comes to expressing a personal impression, since those views can only be seen as hypothesis.

Those hypothesis brought forth , in this case, by an alien.

Lets start with the world ALIEN..

For me, a French-Canadian, alien means strange. Strange to the point of being from an other planet. Do you think your government chose that word by accident? I don't think so. And, by the way, you are not the only country dealing with illegal Aliens. Most European countries and some South Pacific Islands are confronted with the same problems.

If you are interested about this subject, get ready for the next 10 years where the illegal Aliens will be called eco-refugees instead of illegal alien workers.
...

Anyway, since I am not an American citizen, one can assumes that I am one of those aliens: Sure! Why not!

Granted, I did not steel any american job, never used your public hospitals etc.

But I am guilty of using the american cyberspace to question, accuse and defy your government. That puts me in the same bag than those who want to ``steal`` your jobs. I am a threat to your way of living. I am a threat to your sense of superiority and security.

Even thou I know that most Duers dealt (or are in the process of doing so) with the mourning of the American way of life, I still feel frustrated with your inertia. You are the most polluting people on the planet. ( Don"t worry too much about that thou... the Chinese are coming!)

Coming back to my first intent for this post:

I came to the conclusion (after comparing illegal workers actions to the non-American individuals taking a stand against your government and your way of living) that our duty is to raise our (and yours, as american citizen) collective awareness...............

Goad! My post is getting so complicated: over-explained and caught in a multitude of words. So much so that it meant nothing anymore.

(Keep it simple baby!)

You guys, (yes I am generalazing...) are so stucked in second rating issues that, WE, The rest of the World, find ourself in a very insecure and explosive place.

For Goad sake:

Stop spending so much time about gay rights: when you will elect a decent bunch of politicians you won't have to worry about it anymore.

Stop arguing about cigarette smoking. A multitude of poisons can kill us much faster if used by an ill intentioned Alien Nation...

Stop arguing about the 2008 election. Did you all get crazy? What's the point of spending so much energy and jeopardizing friendship over an election that's supposed to happen in many months?

________________________________________________________________________
In the last week I found myself confronted with a choice: paying attention to the upcoming election in my province (Quebec)or ignoring it cause I find the American issues more important than anything else on this North American continent.

Sadly, I am witnessing an american influenced political campaign in my French_canadian province.. All major parties are focusing on accusing the others, instead of offering hope for a new way of managing our resources.

One exception is the party called Quebec Solidaire. Their platform is openly Feminist, Social-Democrat, Green and Independent (pro Quebec as a sovereign nation).

I know that my fellow Canadian Duers (most of them ) are against the idea of a sovereign Quebec province. I understand their passionate view about it. I also understand the need of a lot of Quebequers for claiming their unicity.

But, ultimately, I believe that those fights don't belong in my list of priorities about the survival of the human race,

Yes, my heart belong to the Quebec nationalist parties. After all we were one of the founding people of this great Canadian nation. On the other hand,I don't know enough about the economic fall out of an Independent Quebec.

One thing for sure: I will never vote to stay in Canada for the sole purpose of saving the English Canada of becoming too Americanized.

Again, coming back to my first intention for this post: We, the rest of the world, need to believe that not only you did not vote for bushco but that you are also seriously doing something to prevent him and his thugs from blowing up our planet.

If you guys spend too much time arguing about important but secondary issues... we are all doomed.

Why so much discussion about 2008? We are at the beginning of 2007. Are you all caught into living 6 to 8 months ahead of time? Kind of looking at the fall season cloths when summer is not here yet?

Get busy getting rid of (or paralyzing) the bushcos. They are a real threat to our global village.

It is not to late but time is running out.

I am and will go on supporting the American groups or individuals courageous and lucid enough to acknowledge the mistake done by ignorance.

Now, the duty of all American citizens who are aware of the terrible flaws hidden behind the Glamor of your overpublicized American Way of Life, is to denounce it.

I love you guys.

Sincerely

lise

your logic is faulty.

3. I agree with you. I knew I wasn't logic all the way...
In order to still post, I had to acknowledge and put forth my emotions and intuition.

True, I chose to provoke a little. I hope you can forgive and understand why I did it.

2. 15 years ago I said BC and Albert would become the 51 State
because of the separatism movement in east Canada. I think I was just ahead of my time. I still think that BC will become part of the US, the state of New Columbia. Alberta has sold all(not really all) of its oil rights to China. Russia wants the NW Passage since the big ice melt.

My point to Canada is if you don't stick together, the rest of the world will pick up the pieces.

A more sane creed than I have seen lately.
