25. First I copy/pasted, then I started digging and found another way.

I have WinXp and added an international keyboard. Go to control panel, regional and language options. Click language tab, then Details. Should be English in the pull down thingy. Click Add, then scroll down to United States International (or some such), add, click ok. I clicked the thing to have something in my scroll bar.

Now down at the bottom of my screen, by the little icon is a keyboard thing, icon. I click it, and then click the international keyboard.

To get a : You do this (first example: hold down ' while push a):
á ' vowel (vowel or letter to be abbreviated v in following examples)
à ` v
ñ ~ v (to get lower case, cap lock first
Ä " v (to get lower case, cap lock first)
ô ^ v
ç right alt <
€ right alt 5


Now I'm taking the international keyboard off so I can type normally and have my ' s come through normally as I have to hit ' twice on international keyboard to make ' so it knows it's a ' and not a á.

There is still some language I remember from my childhood that I use in emails to friends and family at times. Kudos to you for tackling French; a language skill that still eludes me!
