Home Invasion Turns To Arrest

INDIANAPOLIS- A home invasion resulted in an arrest tonight..

Police say four juveniles broke into an apartment near 34th and Lafayette Road, they were confronted by two pit-bulls.

As police investigated, they found the renters had two unregistered guns and a small amount of crack cocaine.

Officers arrested one of them.

3. I don't think it's a crime to have an "unregistered" gun...

but having a gun in your home if you also have drugs there is like a 5-year Federal felony.

If the renters had felony records, they'd also be chargeable with illegal firearm possession.



I read a while back about a guy who called the police and reported his marijuana plants stolen after a break-in, though...didn't get the response he hoped...

4. guns don't have to be registered in Indy
That part of the story makes no sense.
