McCain is throwing around the "E" word, elitist. But wasn't he the one
that left his disabled wife to marry a wealthy heir? Wasn't that first wife owed some loyalty for never losing faith in him through all those years as a POW? I think this is a blot on his character. That's just plain wrong. It's up with Newt serving divorce papers to his wife while recovering from cancer surgery.

We need to hit him hard on this act of treachery against a woman who sacrificed her best years to a man who showed the supreme disloyalty.

2. John McCain is an insular brat
who went from riding on Daddy and Granddaddy's coattails to riding on the back of his rich heiress wife, he's got nerve calling anybody elitist.

15. I think his official biography supports this.
He was raised mostly at his grandparents plantation in Mississippi, while his father was out to sea. He went to a small exclusive private school in Alexandria VA while his father was stationed in D.C..

With his family he then moved very briefly to California while he was in his late teens, before entering the Naval Academy.

He did his stint in VietNam, came home and bounced around in the Navy for a few years until he met Cindy and dumped his wife for her.

Her daddy, political connected and loaded with cash set him up in politics.

7. Also similar to the old baseball line "4 pitchers is too many, and 10 is not enough!"
5 mansions is elitist (Kerry), but 8 is "one of the people" (McCain)

started 'messing' around while she was still recovering. But the first Mrs. McCain didn't have $100 million either.

17. my point exactly. He didn't earn his position . DADDY BOUGHT IT FOR HIM
Edited on Thu Apr-24-08 12:53 PM by librechik
and when that failed, his new young wife's daddy bought it for him. That is the essence of elitism, when the position is handed to you because of who you know rather than the hard work you've done.
