The video I made to help out my friend (our NEWEST friend) has hit the bigtime. I hope this is the miracle she needs. I am in shock. Unbelievable.

We are a force DU!

She has been such a great friend to me, answering my emails, always.

I just wanted to point out her plight.

Being such a little fish in such a great pond of ideas and
voices, I am amazed that she ever took the time to befriend me.
I just happened to be on her website one day after reading her book and on a whim, said hi.
We have communicated regularly ever since.

And that is all I was really trying to do, in the end, show her how inspired I am by her and maybe, give her some well-deserved attention.

Thanks to you, DU, I truly believe because of you this finally got some of the attention it deserved, hopefully, it was just the start. She is such an asset to our cause.

And, she happens to be fucking hilarious. And brilliant. Go Jules.

And this is after many months... I couldn't think of a better post to celebrate it!

Jules would be here, I'm sure, however, she has a teenage boy and she can't exactly steal prime computer time. She is a great mom and sometimes in the middle of our most intense discussions about how to handle all of this, she will give up the comp to her boy. That's cool to me. My mom was that cool. Cool single mom's rock! You know? I truly would not be the person I am had I not had the privilege of growing up with one. Who says you need a mother AND a father? By the way, this is one thing about the "marriage" debate that REALLY PISSES ME OFF. :party: :toast: :smoke:

The title might raise eyebrows, but most times they're happy to take suggestions.

Also, may I make a friendly suggestion? If the content is as good as you say it is, it can only help to include some of it in your video. You do a great review, but I'm assuming you're a fan because of what she writes. The New York Times often includes the first chapter in a book review. A good review might pique my interest, but if I've enjoyed that first chapter, I'm much more eager to read the rest and much more likely to go buy it.

Any chance you could get permission to post a few pages here if you think that would help?
