thereby buying into the rightwing talking points. She has a point.

7. Times, Post, etc. ALL reported on Obama's "wasted lives"
Only AP reported on McCain's use of "wasted lives" on Letterman show.

"It doesn't fit the (stereotypical) narrative of Democrats and Republicans," she said.

8. Ariana is on
KO also raised the issue of anti-war Dems demanding an apology from McCain since the lives are being 'wasted. He praised Obama for saying that he didn't think McCain meant that.
Ariana says it is wasted lives. Stop focussing of gaffs and deal with the lives. Says campaign should focus on best leader not most gaffs.

The hypocrisy comes from MSM who had a different approach with Obama.
Ariana says Mc Cain and Hilary sold their souls re the war. Lesson here from the Faustian bargain - well said.

Now for the North Korea 'getting it wrong' re nukes.

And it pisses me off when these politicians say what they mean and then feel like they have to apologize for it. Damn. We all know the score.

It is visceral. He makes me sick as well, I can't even stand when he says anything. That crap of him spewing today about that the federal government gave money and that the people need to look at their local government for answers made me sick.

24. What repulses me the most,
is when I see that smirking idiot continually waving to nobody after he deplanes, or before he gets on, Airforce One. His dumb as dirt wife does the same thing. I know it's irrelevant compared to the horrors he's committed, but somehow those staged plane scenes really get my bile up. I guess it just reinforces the fact that he's totally illegitimate.

KO specifically showed michelle malkin's website when he mentioned that the crickets were out in force on wingnut bloggers' sites.

Looks to me like lots of news organizations picked up the story, but the wingnut smear machine was in hypocritical overdrive on it.

McCain says he regrets Iraq comment

By LIZ SIDOTI, Associated Press Writer Thu Mar 1, 1:23 PM ET

WASHINGTON - Republican presidential contender John McCain (news, bio, voting record), facing criticism from Democrats, on Thursday said he regretted using the word "wasted" to describe the more than 3,100 U.S. lives lost in the Iraq war.

"I should have used the word, sacrificed, as I have in the past," the Arizona senator said after Democrats demanded he apologize as Sen. Barack Obama (news, bio, voting record) did when the White House hopeful recently made the same observation.

"No one appreciates and honors more than I do the selfless patriotism of American servicemen and women in the Iraq War," McCain, a former Vietnam prisoner of war, said in a statement.

On Wednesday night, McCain said on CBS' "Late Show With David Letterman": "Americans are very frustrated, and they have every right to be. We've wasted a lot of our most precious treasure, which is American lives."

McCain, a staunch backer of the four-year-old war but critic of how
President Bush has waged it, made the "wasted" remark after confirming to Letterman what has been clear for at least a year or more — that he's in the running for the 2008 Republican nomination.
