Slight Switch In Tone By The NY Times re: Paraguay's Election
From a Google search, this from less than an hour ago:

"Former Bishop Leads as He Tries to Oust Paraguay’s Ruling Party

SUNCIÓN, Paraguay — High voter turnout on Sunday marked a presidential election likely to produce a historic result in Paraguay, where a former Roman Catholic bishop is trying to break the 62-year grip of the ruling party.

If Mr. Lugo, 56, is able to muster a plurality in the winner-take-all election, he will be the first Paraguayan president since 1946 to be from something other than the Colorado Party, the longest-governing political party in the world."

Earlier news reports were more positive about Lugo's success. The Times is putting the "likely" and "if" into their reporting.

1. Paper ballots, I hope.
I'd hate to see booosh escape prosecution by fleeing to another Diebold oligarchy.

2. I read an earlier report (can't find it now) that was using the term 'neck and neck'
I wish I could find the damned thing. It flew in the face of both the pre-election polling and the exit polls.

5. There you go
Just like this headline with the "tries to oust".

It sounds like what was happening in Mexico.

4. They're pretty familiar with elections that the Bushes have an interest in
Squeakers become landslides, victories turn into defeats, and dang if it doesn't turn the Bushes' way every time!
