Does the FLDS have any non-white members?
All the ones I have seen on TV were white so I was wondering.

1. Probably not
The regular Mormon church only acknowledged the equality of black people back in the 1970's. If these folks are Fundamentalist Mormons, I'd guess they stick to pre-1970's doctrine.

3. Is it just equality?
I thought it was deeper than that?

Like if someone wasn't white they considered them an animal?

Is that part of their previous doctrine or am I mistaken?

6. I think they're even more racist than the "old" Mormon church
They are taught that black folks belong to the devil.

One of the women who came out of the cult talks about how she felt when she first saw a black baby. She was afraid, but as soon as she held the baby she knew it had to be from God. :)

2. A friend of mine was a church member with her family and they are Filipino and part
Filipino.

She left them just prior to them excommunicating her. She is a real psychic medium and they thought she was a witch.

4. No
My understanding is that the FLDS was created in 1890, as a result of the then-prophet, Wilford Woodruff, declaring an end to polygamy. Presumably, the doctrines of the FLDS remained fairly close to the same as Mormon doctrines at the time. Those doctrines were quite racist, holding that dark skin was proof of an inherent sinfulness and that conversion to "the one truth" would turn one's skin "white and delightsome."
