Economic Report: Home repossessions up 129 percent

http://www.laborradio.org/node/8345

Economic Report:

Bank repossessions of homes have jumped a mind boggling 129 percent since one year ago according to RealtyTrac. Foreclosure filings alone leapt 57 percent since March of 2007. The organizations projects that the final two quarters of the year will likely see a record setting number of foreclosed properties. One in 538 single family U.S. households received a foreclosure notice in March. Nevada continues to see the most foreclosures in comparison to any other state. The state has regrettably held the top spot for 15 months straight.
