Randi Rhodes Blames Air America's New Owners
Randi Rhodes Blames Air America's New Owners On Larry King: "This Is Really About Them Wanting To Change My Contract"

Update: Randi Rhodes went on Larry King Live and contradicted earlier statements regarding the manner in which her relationship was terminated with Air America. Rhodes said that Air America had new owners and that "this thing is really about them wanting to change my contract." According to Rhodes, when the new owners discovered "they didn't have the right to fire " they used parts of her stand-up routine as a means to get her to leave Air America.

3. Sounds like the owners looked for a way to break her contract.
They took advantage of her notorious statements about Hillary Clinton.

4. Did you hear her on the Malloy show last night?
Marc Maron was sitting n for Mike and had her on as a guest. After they bought the station, they wanted to amend her contract. She quit instead of going along with that.

I got distracted but heard something about maybe AAR wanting to showcase her and that's how the event in San Fran came about. Hope someone will clarify that. She talked about it with maron on the radio. I'm sure she'll talk about it on Monday.

5. "No one is upset. She made the move but there's relief and joy."
Big collective rationalization at AAR.

They'll be joyful right up to the time where they have to report next quarter earnings.

6. What crazy person put into her contract that she cannot be fired?
That's nuts on its own.

I'm not surprised that she quit.
