1. So cute! And intelligent too.
There's an interesting scientific angle here: I've heard scientists say there is no real correlation between brain size in humans and intelligence, but its interesting to see how far that goes, seeing her next to the toddler and seeing how much smaller her head is, and then hearing her talk like a normal teen. It really demonstrates that truth.

7. It's not just the size
It's the wiring.

And actually if memory serves, our brains are the same size as a toddler. Since our brains can't grow outside the womb, instead nature makes our skulls incomplete so we can still push through the birth canal.

13. Our brains do "grow"
Throughout development we are constantly forming new connections, and severing old ones. I believe brain density, rather than size, is related to 'intelligence'
Still a field in which research will reveal vast amounts of knowledge.

15. But that's what i said.

In fact, the brain forms and kills off connections over time.. But the over all size remains the same. and yes density helps but that's a consequence of the wiring going on. as the connections grow more complex, the density increases.

Think of it like any other computer... One can have the largest, most advanced computer in the world. But if it's running off of windows 95, it's still crap.

21. Also..
pro-wrestlers and steroid abusing athletes with giant craniums and low intelligence kinda demonstrate that truth, too.

6. It used to be Mexico
when I lived in El Paso, there was a epidemic of babies being born without brains.

The births all occurred in a town that was located at the drainage point of the Rio Grande.

11. They discovered the cause: it was a virus or bacteria that was growing
on something used in making corn tortillas that caused the anencephaly.

the modern day version of World Weekly News or something? After all, they outsource everything else to India, how can tabloid news be far behind?
