Raves, Rants & Roses April 8: Need For Greed

I have no idea why the writer picked on the Goodyear union?????? They did have a nasty strike, I guess because we are not a communist country that dictates yet perhaps. Thoughts?

RESPONSE: It has occurred to me that this country's success or failure is based on the need for greed. Why has our government allowed big businesses, such as Sears, Wal-Mart, Maytag, just to name a few, to move out of the U.S. and build in a communist-controlled country?

China is the worst when it comes to human rights.

I am appalled we are having the Olympics over there, when BBC television shows how cruel they are treating their own people. Destroying their homes and kicking them out into the streets.

Everything we purchase now in this country comes from China.

When Wal-Mart first opened its stores in this country, they vowed they would always buy and sell U.S.-made products. What happened to that promise?

Why are we helping a communist country get wealthy, when we clearly need those businesses here?

As an example, the workers and union at the Goodyear plant showed the greed for more money, which is why this country is falling apart. The big oil companies are showing their greed for the big bucks, which will eventually sink this great country of ours.
