Quail Fighting. These are the people our tax dollars murder and the society our masters destroy.

These photos are from 2003, after the arrogant uber-rich cowards began sending their hirelings into Afghanistan and attempting by brute force to turn them into the kind of passive slaves they and the other members of the ruling elite have managed to create here in the US.

The more pictures you view, the better you will understand the magnitude of the crime. For many more images, go to the main page and see what that land was like before Brzezinski decided to turn it into a killing field: http://www.lukepowell.com/

But for the "Quail Fighting" series start here and hit the "next picture" link to continue. Read the captions. http://avalon.unomaha.edu/afghan/afghanistan/cowk/be01.htm

Two examples:

Do you regard them as subhumans? Have you been propagandized to the extent that you want to see their culture destroyed and replaced by something as "enlightened" as the one the corporations and corporatists have created here? Which has caused more murders, has more unjustly imprisoned, caused more deaths around the planet, has more homicides per capita, or initiated more wars of aggression and caused more suffering around the planet? Which is more sustainable? Do you think that to continue killing them does anything at all to help the common people here or there?

Rhetorical questions. But I ask you to take a look at these photos, at the people, and think of them not only as as members of our human family, not mainly as poor and deprived, but as avatars, as people who can teach us something we have yet to learn.

(edit phrasing)

2. These photos are amazing ...still checking it out...
I think about the "forgotten" half of the war...Afganistan is a country rish in culture and history, and how much of that is lost from all the senseless violence.

What does afganistan have that makes it such an interest? is it location? certainly not oil...

kick this thread for the morning people!

11. The photos you have shared in the DU Photography Forum (a plug)
are evidence of the truth of your statement and perceptions. This photographer has that same deep appreciation of the people of Afghanistan, and it shows in all his work, as it did in those photos you showed us.

9. Thank you for viewing those images.
A talented photographer can help us see and get a feel for the truths of our world in a way words cannot. It is hard for us here to have any idea of Afghanistan as it was and is, and this gallery is a real treasure. I hope all here share the link with their friends.

10. Thank you for the post
Until we start to see the true people of other cultures we are too easily lead by the PTB to hate them for no reason whatsoever.
