So the Iraqi elections are in October ?
What impact will they have on the American election in November? Maliki threatened to keep the Shiite supporters of Muqtada al Sadr, the Mehdi Army, from voting in that election. He knows he cannot win and America's puppet will be defeated if this election is allowed to go forward. Democracy will have been successfully stifled.

Time is running out on this "surge" charade. All hell is about to break loose. That means that we will have to destroy al Sadr's supporters just like we did in Fallujah. The rocket attacks into the Green Zone are the first indicator of the battles yet to come. American interests, aka Big Oil interests, cannot be sustained so long as al Sadr's forces are in charge of the pipelines in Basra. They must be eliminated before the American elections in November. It's going to be a long, hot summer.
