2. Just send a link to Keith's bit on last night's show.
Explains it in simple words that even a freeper can understand.

6. That's a keeper
Thanks for pointing it out.

I haven't been on-line much (if at all) for the past few days and it's amazing how much information gets exchanged in such a short period of time.

4. Olbermann
addressed the issue last night on Countdown. Gore runs his house on "Green" energy which increses the total of his annual bill by almost $6000. Green energy is expensive but Gore is at least putting his money where his mouth is. He is also having solar panels put in, which are pretty expensive.

5. Would it make sense to compile...
this information in the research forum? I do not know how to use all of the tools there.

You know this story is going to keep coming back and spreading on the internets. Make it easier for people to go to one place and find the ammunition they need.

7. The archives of the Daily Howler

He's a bit of a heretic because he didn't take Joe Wilson's story at face value, but on the 2000 campaign and how the right wing and the mainstream media tarnished Gore, he's one of the best.

8. Can't. Al Gore blew it.

Climate Change mitigation will ultimately be about reducing consumption. Not buying questionable carbon credits, not purchasing green power, but reducing consumption across the board.

For the wealthy proponents of climate change action that SHOULD mean taking every action to reduce initial consumption THEN buying carbon credits and green power for that consumption that you cannot avoid using state of the art conservation measures. If Al Gore is using $1200 monthly in electricity for 4 adults then he's simply not trying very hard at home to reduce consumption.

The right wing gets to kick his butt on this and they get to use left wing facts and data to do it. All over the net there are people with zero-net energy use buildings. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zero_energy_building) Hell, my county jail has a rack of solar panels and so does the local sewage treatment plant and several local gas stations. Al Gore is supposed to have a 30 year head start on this. For him to be anywhere but absolutely in front of the pack on energy conservation while flying around preaching global warming is just pure stupidity.

I support Al Gore. I voted for Al Gore and think that what he's done to get the issue of climate change in the public eye is wonderful.

On conserving energy use at home Al blew it.
