She's there to look "perky" and "cute" and disarming...a big contrast to the previous sockpuppets. This regime used a Fleischer, Snotty and then Snowjob as hatchetmen...taking it to the "librul media" and almost always looking bad when it was played back on the evening news. The conferences themselves became television circuses and the media always came out having the last word; making the booosh mouthpieces look bad. Perino is the polar opposite...instead of looking combative when confronted, she looks like a victim...she's the "good cop" to the others "bad"...and that she can dance away from answers and put out the most ludicrious spin then smile and look like a "poor young thing". While people enjoyed watching Snotty get pounded on, the media treads lightly on taking it to Perino.

Now I've heard her interviewed on several shows and, yes, she's a total vacuous airhead, but that's not her role...it's to play the defensive, poor dear that is getting beat up again by the evil, wicked, "librul" media...especially when its a male stenographer trying to confront her.

This regime has set the gold standard in sock puppetry...but most of it has been combative. Even other female sockpuppets like Fran Townshend would "mix it up". Perino, in my opinion, is there to play victim...to play to the sympathies of those watching and to disarm the stenographers in the room from asking too many "nasty questions". It just shows how far this regime has sunk to try playing the victim card when having to spin yet another scandal.
