Newsflash for Don Feder, why attack Friends of God?
"Blue Staters often picture evangelicals as a tribe of shallow and slightly loony fanatics. Pelosi's documentary reinforces these prejudices. With minimal effort, the daughter of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi could have found a few evangelical scientists, stock brokers, dedicated inner-city teachers or counselors at drug rehab centers."
- Don Feder

Here are some Conservative Christians, you may remember them from somewhere else.

1. Interesting comment Don ...
too bad you don't apply that rule when you're discussing liberals, gays, etc, showing them as a tribe of shallow and slightly loony fanatics.

3. I saw the lunatics in the french quarter
on their daily mission to ruin carnival for those enjoying the debauchery the day before ash wednesday. And as in other years, they failed miserably. They huffed and they puffed and they carried their signs and they screamed and shouted and tried to disrupt the day, all to no avail. I have to disagree with Mr Feder. I don't consider evangelicals slightly loony fanatics. I consider them extremely loony. I consider them a threat, albeit a minor threat, to our constitution. And I also do not think they deserve constitutional liberties which they enjoy daily but would take away from other citizens of our country.

4. Flame me if you must
but this line got to me.

<Pelosi presents not a cross-section, but the fringe.>

I hear this over and over again...how the seemingly fringe-y elements of evangelical Christianity are often dismissed as "well, they don't represent Christianity" or "they're just the few...," etc. Well, in my experience the ones who actually adhere to the tenets of Christianity and truly follow the teachings of Jesus Christ are the few.

There needs to be some serious examination of not just how religion is practiced, but perceived by others. Instead of feeling persecuted, how about a little introspection?

Sorry to offend, but there it is.

Why wasn't there an army of protesters outside the hospital where Sun Hudson lay dying? He too had life support cut off, but he was the child of a family that was poor and black.

6. President of the Evangelicals
Haggard was the president of the largest evangelical organization when the show was filmed. He was interviewed on MSM shows as the leader of the evangelical movement. How's that for fringe?

Friends of God wasn't about christians it was about evangelicals. The people in the documentary weren't set up or blindsided by hidden cameras. The were expressing their views and we were left to form our own opinion.
