true story, IRL; I get my stuff and on to the check-out waiting, there's a gay guy standing there in front of me (oh honey please don't go there, this guy was gay and very proud of it) with his stuff already on the counter, a couple three items not allot, when he decides he wants to get some Eternity for men, and so off he goes...

He's gone for some, literally 3-5 minutes, everyone waiting, when the check-out women sets his items onto her register, in a very safe place, and begins to ring my items up, while off in the background he is heard by all...

"No!" to the salesperson very condescending, "Not the blue bottle!! The red bottle!" I don't even know if that is what the colors are, but that is what he was shouting and up and into the atmospherics of the vicinity,

After which he flys back across the room, crashes into me quite deliberate nearly knocking me off balance while belittling my purchase in the process of tossing the guy now behind me, very dramatic (and I am a Shakespearean actress so I know when I see a scene being botched, or mis-directed), and his purchase from the counter and onto the floor, very surly, very rude and obnoxious, as the check-out woman is trying to explain to him that she was unable to hold up the entire line...at which point he proclaims to all within ear shot,

"I'm spending enough money here for you to have saved my place in line!! She's (referring to me) only buying beer and cat food, and he (referring to the guy behind me and his purchase) is only buying crackers!!"

The check-out women checked his items out at which point he turns to me and says,

"Fuck You!!" as though he was spitting the words from his mouth; to which I reply,

"You have a nice day too, sir."

People very near explaining he was out of line treating me in such a manner, explaining to his back-side in point of fact as he sailed out the door like the good ship lolly pop; perhaps he sensed that I am used to such rude and obnoxious behavior having been cast in my direction...or maybe I was just 'lucky' to have witnessed so odd a tantrum in public now...

I don't use it myself; it's too close to "faggot," which ain't cool, plus I'm straight and don't want people to get the wrong idea about how I'm using the term.
