John McCain, Flip-Flopper?
RUSSERT: Do you believe that Jerry Falwell is still an agent of intolerance?

MCCAIN: No, I don’t. I think that Jerry Falwell can explain to you his views on this program when you have him on.

Back in 2000, when McCain was asked whether he stood by his description of Falwell, he said, “I must not and will not retract anything that I said in that speech at Virginia Beach. It was carefully crafted, it was carefully thought out.”

1. Oh no, not Straight-Talkin' Johnny Maverick
Always forthright and direct, no matter which side of his mouth he's talking out of.

Curious, though, how the media is suddenly aware of what Hillary Clinton said back in 1996, but they can't be bothered with what George W. Bush said in the State of the Union speech.

And Obama's experience is now germane to his candidacy, but Bush's grand total of three trips outside the country wasn't deemed significant in any way back in 2000. Apparently, the public's (read: the media's) hunger for a change from the Clinton years outweighed any such considerations.

Get ready for another eight months of this nonsense.
