11. $3.49 a gallon here in my little corner of Oregon.
Of course, that was this morning. Might have gone up by now. It's a moment to moment thing these days.

Sorry--gotta sign off now. The rage within is about to blow. Too bad I can't use it to fuel my 10-year-old Camry that will never be replaced by a new car and spends a lot of time "grounded" in my garage these days.

Tired, tired old cynic!

12. Oh man, I'm so sorry. Nothing will be done about this if McCain wins.
BEWARE of a drastic gas price reduction before the election.

It'll go right back up as soon as McCain wins.

Another high risk move by the right that would be.

15. It was $3.61 in L.A. when I left for work this a.m. -- may be up this p.m.
Lately I've seen gas go up during the day to the tune of $.04 -- won't be surprised
if I see it at $3.65 tonight.

22. Prices tend to be lower where I live (outside of Newark NJ)
Edited on Mon Mar-17-08 06:32 PM by rocknation
The only reason I can think of is that Newark has a seaport and the gas doesn't have to be transported as far.

I haven't paid more than three dollars for regular since after Katrina. Prices got up to 2.99 regular last week, but they've slipped to 2.92 today. They tend to be about five cents higher outside my immediate area. However, I was in the Bronx (New York City) earlier today--a Hess station's regular was 3.43.

23. Over 4 bucks for Diesel here, & the rest of the grades rising to meet it. Goleta/Santa Barbara...
That's only at my corner gas stations in Goleta, which are a relative bargain. If you go less than 5 miles north, the gas station by the off-ramp is higher than anywhere else, because the next station after that is another 40 miles or so away.

The night the news-bimbo said the "highest in the nation" was in San Francisco, we were at least 20 cents higher here.

28. Been $3.39 here in Northern New York for weeks now
but I haven't been out of the house since I dragged myself home from work an hour early last Friday. I wouldn't be surprised to see it above $3.50 when I go out tomorrow to go back to work, even if I still feel lousy.

29. $3.56 for premium
I'd be tempted to get regular for my car, but it would get worse fuel milage, so that wouldn't really save me any money.

With 60% of the population living below the poverty line, 3.60 per has got to hurt.

32. When I filled up Friday it was $3.29 a gallon in Pittsburgh
but I paid $2.06 a gallon. We have a grocery chain here, Giant Eagle, that offers .10 off a gallon for every $50 you buy and the store 4 blocks from work offers .20 off a gallon for every $50 at their convenience/gas stores. That even includes gift cards for almost all the restaurants and retailers in the area. I've been getting everything I can at that chain including prescriptions. Saves me about $300 a year on gas. I even got their credit card cause it adds an extra .04 a gallon. I just pay the balance each month. This year I think I can save $350-$500 on gas if they continue the program.
