Lieberman to attend GOP convention.
http://thinkprogress.org/2008/03/17/lieberman-to-attend-gop-convention/

In a Friday interview with the Stamford Advocate, Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) — one of Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) foreign policy advisers — said he would attend the Republican National Convention this summer:

Friday, Lieberman said he will attend the Republican National Convention this summer, “if Senator McCain thinks it will be helpful to be there in some capacity.” <…>

“I am not going to attend the Democratic Convention for obvious reasons,” Lieberman said.

Lieberman, whose Democratic superdelegate status was stripped earlier this year, also added that he’d likely support Rep. Chris Shays (R-CT) against his Democratic challenger. “I am going to wait and see, but let me just say Chris Shays is a great congressman,” Lieberman said

(I wonder what those 30% of Connecticut Democrats are thinking ...now.)

9. he's not in the party anymore, he still caucus' with the Dems in the Senate
but that could change and make DarthCheney the tie breaker

not sure what that would do to committee assignments etc. I think the only reason Lieman still does caucus with us is to keep his committee chairmanship which they didn't strip

23. He votes Republican more than Dem,
and because of Republican filibusters most laws require 60 votes anyway. Time to throw him out and strip him of his seniority and committe chairmanship. The Dems will still remain in charge of the committees until the next Congress is formed and I think they stand to win more seats.

See ya Joe.

8. Lieberman lost his superdelegate status in 2007
The reports that his endorsing McCain made him lose his status is wrong.

If he had been a Democrat and endorsed McCain then it would be true.
The DNC confirmed with us that he hasn't been on the superdelegate list since early 2007

10. And this man still has his seniority? and committee assignments?
How pathetic the Democratic "leadership" has become. No other word. Ujust pathetic- and deserving of ZERO respect from anyone- least of all the Republicans in the administration who thumb their noses and abuse them.

13. Is this a surpise to anyone?
Joe Loserman was re-elected by defeating a Democratic candidate.

No one besides Harry Reid pretends that Joe is still a Dem.

16. What an Asshole.
But those of us who voted for Lamont knew he was actually the republican candidate. The republican party ditched their own guy to favor Lieberman.

Hey Joe, this is for YOU!

I remember when people here were saying that we needed holy joe- that Ned Lamont would be a bad choice...

I wonder what rocks those people are hiding under now. They were quite full of themselves, at the time.
