1. I can get really worked up at times
It is a real practice to know when to stop--or when to alert rather than respond. Some days I get on a thread and feel like I'm riding a bucking bronco, especially if I've said something stupid and then try to defend it!

2. Just last week, I practically advocated for the bombing of Canada.
I hope that answers your question.

We still have to do something about Bryan Adams, though.

3. I make mistakes, but I'll not defend them once I understand that I'm in error.

5. Last week I said we should all go to Iran as human peace shields
but I understood pretty quickly how stupid that was. I don't know what came over me.

I guess we're all just gonna let it happen.

7. If I'm wrong and I know it I'll admit it....why try to defend stupidity?
Look where that's gotten us for the last 7+ years.

 It's not the mistake that's a measure of a person; it's the learning from it.

8. I rarely post and when I do
its almost never something controversial or particularly incendiary. I much prefer to lurk and watch others duke it out. :P

9. Part of it is the level of discourse
and the vileness of attacks.
Part of being a liberal means you are willing to look at all sides of an issue...however...in this "invasion" that we have here, the bile and vitriol is so thick that if you tend to stand back and falter on your position, you will be attacked by the hyenas so you just plant your feet and fight.
To our own ultimate demise.

14. When I do post something I later regret I let the thread die a natural death.

If I were to add anything to it then the thread would be kicked back up to the top,

thereby extending its half-life for all the world to see even longer.

15. I'm flexible enough to kick myself in the arse
and then I let the whole thread sink in ignominy.

Replying to it just pushes it up to the top.
