Carlyle Group in Trouble in US as well as Europe

was on a conference call today with a banking research firm asking questions about Hawaiian Telecom. We wavered into the subject of Carlyle Group and he said 2 things that had me very happy.

#1 Carlyle Group is in Serious Trouble in US as well as Europe. Financially one of their biggest bets, Hawaiian Tel, is possibly going to go out of business. $11M cash in bank and no funding for infrastructure upgrades, Times Warner is draining off customers at rate of 4-5% per month and likely to increase.
#2 That he felt carlyle Group had not the deep pockets to bail out HT

*** WOW. this must mean their European fiasco is digging deeper into their global cash funds.

*** The phrase from a shakespeare play comes up

"Out out brief candle, life is but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets (and Sucks the very cash out of the governments they intend to rape and pillage) and then is heard no more...

It is a tale told by an idiot (George Bush Sr.) full of sound and fury, signifying nothing"

OUT OUT BRIEF CARLYLE CANDLE. we may one day have our local governments back and the vile bankers who want to suck our taxpayer funds out for their global gambling escapades are NO LONGER THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE..

rise up great people. make it so!

9. If the money was in dollars.....a billion is worth what now?
Net worth evaporates as the dollar's value evaporates.

7. Yes your correct there, but I would think that George Junior has stolen enough money...
to pass on to daddy to keep The Carlyle Group in good financial shape for along time to come.

The Bushes are poor people. Really. On their block, they are the poor family.

99% of us, of course, do not live on that block, and aren't allowed to drive there.

13. I heard on financial "expert" explain to Congress that moving money
around the world and banks is pretty common financial management today. Ya..if you money launder and steal was my thought.

What business course did he take in college or was it in Carl Rover's university of economic hit men.

It a crime gang.

19. Would you really want to drive there?
I wouldn't. I think Scrooge's partner Marley illustrates a lot of the wealthy perfectly.

5. They're MO is Engaging Politicos from all over world to do global hegemony
Edited on Fri Mar-14-08 11:20 PM by peacetheonlyway
and they failed miserably because the Politicos suck at basic business decisions like
oh, let's see, not over investing in one fund type in your portfolio.

consider Bush Jr. and Bush Sr. completely inept at business running one?

into the ground.

now multiply that by powerful asian politicos with same lack of bizskills etc.

When They bought HT I knew it was a CF waiting to happen.

it happened.

they won't fail overnight, but I hope like hell one day someone puts their board in jail for the way they raped taxpayers of their money by failing in their contracts worldwide to deliver.

if we stop corporate SOCIALISM - where the US Government gives subsidies and NO BID contracts to comporations in a Socialistic anti-capitalistic orgy, we stop the drain on the US tax fund.

Getting corporations off our government's tit is the only issue facing us in 2008. I"ll venture to say it's a worldwide crisis if America doesn't figure this basic socialistic /corporate connection and fix it fucking fast.

11. Will the President bail them out?
He won't help property owners who have failed to pay their mortgages. He's not into that sort of thing.

Tony Blair helped Bush, Inc. stash funds there. Lie us into war and then get a job at Yale after he left office (emm forced out of office by his party).

21. RE: Your quote by Bush.
I assume this is about Saddam's failures? It is projection. Accusing someone else of something that is wrong with yourself.

It is ironic as you meant this quote to be.
