Corporate Welfare for Big Oil
Mike Papantonio of GoLeft TV and Air America's Ring of Fire talks about how, in addition to their billions of dollars in profits every year, the federal government is still giving oil companies subsidies worth billions each year.

3. Another example of the blind morans that only see what they want to see.
This has been going on since the 19th century. It is the system that we subjugated South/Central America for, it is the system that FDR managed to sustain by co-opting, and killing the important parts of, the leftist agenda in the 1930s.

Corporate welfare is handed out by the hundreds of billions every year to hugely profitable companies, while we force families and individuals into virtual slavery rather than providing the paltry assistance that would make all the difference.

This is why our national infrastructure is crumbling and our military cannot field a force of 150,000 without falling apart in spite of the fact that we have poured 10s of TRILLIONS of dollars into it over the last 30 years. This is why we cannot educate our kids, and our standard of living has been in decline for the last 40 years, and why we have almost 100 million people with no access to real health care, and why corporations pay less than 1% of the taxes that run our nation.

Maybe we'll look up from our TVs in time to stop this, but I'm not holding my breath.

5. Meanwhile, transportation and energy cost for food manufacturing and delivery
have created double digit inflation for the end consumer. We are spiraling ever faster into a depression.

6. This is common knowledge.
In Alaska whenever you start seeing these feel good commercials on TV you better be on the look-out because the Oil Corps are about to give you the shaft. Gov. Palin really has them worked up over the gas line projects. They are spending money on advertising like you wouldn't believe to shape public opinion about how destitute they are and how they need these obscene profits to be able to develope new fields, but only if if we can give them huge tax incentives to do so.
