A universal truth: Almost 99% of everything is bullshit.
Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 07:01 PM by Cyrano
Whether the topic is Hillary, Obama, Bush, Cheney, Nader, Chris Matthews, flag lapel pins, Maureen Dowd's columns, cable or network news, "who is ahead?" polls, or any of a million other topics, virtually everything we see, read, or hear, is approximately 99% bullshit.

Every one of us views the world from our own perspective. And since no two perspectives are exactly the same, that tends to put us in the land of "The Blind Men And The Elephant." (A poem you can Google if you care to.)

Having said this, there is one fact that is not bullshit. The numbers of people, Americans, Iraqis and others who have been killed in an insane war. Those numbers are facts. And those responsible for them must someday be held accountable.

5. Sturgeon was a bit more of an optimist -- but he wasn't talking politics. nt

7. No, but given today's world, he might as well have been.
Again, for anyone who doesn't know what Sturgeon's law is, Google it.
