Why is it that people are always so easily sucked in ?
What I refer to here and ask is why the population by and large just go for what they are told rather than what they see .

It may be fact that people see nothing yet during the late 70's there was a push for small cars when everyone freaked out over the fake gas shortage , remember that ? These cars suddenly were available .

It was not long at all before bigger was better and the V-8's were back under the hood and then came the SUV's , these things were every where .

We also long ago bought into having stores like 7/11 open 24/7 and then to compete almost every store was open 24/7 with huge parking lots of power sucking glaring lights and during this same process came the malls all light up ,closed for the night but still light up and the fast food dumps that pepper the land open 24/7 using lots of lighting .

Now the traffic never ends 24/7 nothing closes 24/7 and the beat goes on .

Now one would have thought at some point before this became the sigh of the times that people would have said hold the hell on here , were we just not trying to conserve fuel so just what the hell are we doing here .

People are spoiled rotten , they have to have access to crap at all hours and the people who work nights leap out and say , well I need to shop and I want a meal at night .

Well bring a lunch or dinner like people who worked nights years ago did save the fuel used to drive to a meal , and shop on a weekend like most people always did and got along just fine . Same with the daytime workers bring a lunch save the fuel .

There was a time not all that long ago where on sundays everything was closed and we did not have huge malls with lights we had small stores that made a tiny carbon foot print .

People are insane and fucking spoiled and now all of a sudden when it is brought to their ignorant greedy spoiled minds that we are screwing up the planet people panic .

Point is they have to be told even though everyday they sit in lines of traffic and burn more fuel sitting than driving and they see this 24/7 and the thought never accures to them that this may not be a good idea .

Yes it's supply and demand and when people are spoiled and demand with arms waving me , me ,me along comes your supply .

Anyone in this day and age of massive waste that comes on here to say they need everything are ignorant fools . People who eat at fast food dumps are insane fools . Give it up , shut off the lights your eyes adjust to the dark give them a chance . Stop going to the big box stores who suck up all the power and go to the small shops that are still left . And don't tell anyone the only store near you is wal-wart , you caused this by shopping there in the first place , do what others did years ago when the town was 20 miles away , go with neighbors and shop once a week or twice a month .

Stop supporting the big oil corporations because they certainly don't support you .

5. People are having to work longer hours or more jobs in order to make ends meet.

That reduces the amount of time available for shopping for groceries, pharmaceuticals, et als, often leaving them only the time they should be sleeping for shopping...

Big business takes advantage of that.

One shopping center I patronize on occasion has so few (and very dim at that) parking lot lights that I have considered bringing a flash light when I go there at night.
