During commercial on 24: NYC on high alert from Iran threat... Anyone see this?

This is from MSNBC, quoting a "Periscope" item in the March 7, 2007 issue of Newsweek. There was supposedly some secret NYPD briefing last year - why is this suddenly news?

the Administration is secretly giving money to the Sunni's. If America wasn't so stupid they would realize that Al-Quaeda is made up of Sunni Radicals. Which means if what the Administration has said in the past is true, that Al-Queada was responsible for 9/11 , then that would mean we are financing another 9/11 with our own tax dollars. The briefing was done last year, but the actual "threat" was from 2003 - supposedly, two Iranians took pictures of NYC in 2003 & left the country. That's a threat? :eyes: All the rest is about how this worried the NYPD enough to give a briefing 3 years later, enough for an anonymous source to leak this briefing to Newsweek one year after that. Promoting this IMMINENT IRANIAN THREAT during 24 is just the ultimate touch. First viewers are freaked out by a show about a nuke attack, and then they're told to freak out about new terrorist attacks from Iran. Who's really terrorizing people here?

I don't think the city is on high alert. The article doesn't specifically say that they're raising the alert level in NYC, just that authorities are "concerned." Cause you need actual evidence to raise the alert level. This is just about raising the fear levels of Fox viewers. It's shameless, really.

During one of my posts on this thread, I said, it's not just this administration and/or media complicit. The responsibility of this bullshit rests on every individual involved.
