If your Al Gore - who do you endorse for 2008?
It's a hard read - and I am sure he may well wait until after the primaries, but who would he see as closest to his ideals and goals?

I have no idea, which is why I am asking :) (and don't say nader either  )

3. He won't endorse anyone until we have a candidate
Unless it is himself.

4. Interesting question.. do his loyalties still lie with the Clintons?
Personally I think he'd back Edwards, they seem to be alike in many ways. It would sure be a huge blow to Hillary to have someone so close to her throw their weight behind another candidate.

5. Al Gore
He endorses himself for president and Bill RIchardson or Obama for vice president.

8. I'm beginning to think so too.
And he's being incredibly clever about it, planting little subliminabobble suggestions in the collective psyche, like on Oscar Night.

9. Oscar night was brilliant. He didn't make a commitment so the
media can't start beating up on him.

But people sure are talking about him, smart move.

Personally I don't think the media will be as hard on him this time, many of them realize the mistake(they will never admit to) they made backing * the last time.

10. He wouldn't wait until after the primaries.... he got behind Dean
before the primaries last time. Back in the last cycle when he jumped in with an endorsement (I think in the fall of 03 before the first primaries) - it seemed early. But given that folks are already doing endorsements in the first months of the year before the election - it seems like a "late" endorsement in comparison.

All I can predict is... who knows? Granted I am still holding on to a very, very small sliver of hope that he won't endorse anyone and will instead run himself.

11. Late in the year
when Obama clearly overtakes Clinton he will endorse Obama and work hard for him in the general. There is little chance he would endorse Clinton and if she gets the nomination he probably would not campaign for her other than some lip service. If he decides to throw his hat in the ring he would obviously win and probably choose Obama or Richardson as his running mate.
